Full Dentures

A denture is a removable device that replaces missing teeth. It fits snugly against the gums so it looks as natural as possible. A complete denture is necessary when all of the natural teeth are missing.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used if you still have some healthy teeth available. These dentures are often clipped around the remaining healthy teeth.

A fixed bridge is an alternative to a partial denture and may be suitable for some people.

Treatment Procedure

Once our dentist determines that a denture is the best treatment choice, here’s what happens. After removing the damaged teeth, dental measurements are taken and temporary dentures are made to fit the mouth.

When the gums are healed, the final dentures are made. Periodically, the dentist will adjust the dentures for correct fit, wear and comfort.

The benefits of dentures are realized in a full, happy smile and healthy gums.

Caring for Dentures

Even with your dentures, the bacteria that causes plaque and gum disease are still working away, everyday.
  • Brush your removable dentures - every day
  • Brush your gums, cheeks, tongue and the roof of your mouth before you pop in your dentures
  • Soak your dentures overnight; never let them dry out
  • Don’t soak them in hot water. They could warp out of shape.
  • Visit us for a checkup and cleaning every six months, just like always

Always been afraid of going to the dentist, since being a patient of Santosh and his team all my fears have gone. Santosh is so gentle ,explains everything and constantly reassures you.The hygienist is also excellent, wouldn't say I look forward to visiting but certainly much more relaxed. Highly recommend 👌

A painless extraction. I had suddenly lost a large filling in a tooth that had been troublesome for sometime. I phoned at 9:30 and spoke to a very efficient receptionist who offered me a 12:30 appointment as a new NHS patient. On arrival at the practice I was met by a very friendly dental nurse and ushered through to the treatment room where the dentist began the examination, taking great care to reassuringly explain how he intended to proceed. All options were explained to me and it was obvious the tooth needed to come out. From the application of anaesthetic to the final extraction, I can honestly say the most I felt was a slight discomfort. Afterwards the aftercare was carefully explained in detail and I was provided with written instructions. I am genuinely impressed by the friendly and professional service provided at short notice and have no hesitation in recommending the practice.
