Generally speaking, gum contouring carries little risk for postoperative infection. If it does occur, however, your doctor will likely prescribe a round of oral antibiotics to address the issue.
Like any surgical procedure, gum contouring carries some risks. However, complications are rare, and can typically be avoided by following the post-operative guidelines provided by your doctor. Contact us right away if you notice:
Persistent bleeding that lasts more than two days
Excessive bleeding that interferes with daily routines
Discomfort that is no longer manageable with prescription medications
Severe inflammation, discharge, or other signs of infection
Regrowth of the gum is a possibility, as the gum level is ultimately determined by the bone level underneath it. With laser gum contouring, since no changes are made to the bone level, the gum can grow back. However, the laser treatment can be repeated again.
This is hands down the best dental experience of my life, the technology is first rate but what made it the best was the staff they are excellent - communication and making me feel relaxed and cared for thank-you.
My daughter had a tooth removed both the dentist and his nurse were amazing with her made her feel comfortable and told her everything they were doing highly recommend them x
I had my two teeths fixed two days ago. Nothing hurt and I am very satisfied with dentist Jessica Callow. Very kind, always smiling and does a great job. Thanks Jess.
Always been afraid of going to the dentist, since being a patient of Santosh and his team all my fears have gone. Santosh is so gentle ,explains everything and constantly reassures you.The hygienist is also excellent, wouldn't say I look forward to visiting but certainly much more relaxed. Highly recommend 👌
A painless extraction. I had suddenly lost a large filling in a tooth that had been troublesome for sometime. I phoned at 9:30 and spoke to a very efficient receptionist who offered me a 12:30 appointment as a new NHS patient. On arrival at the practice I was met by a very friendly dental nurse and ushered through to the treatment room where the dentist began the examination, taking great care to reassuringly explain how he intended to proceed. All options were explained to me and it was obvious the tooth needed to come out. From the application of anaesthetic to the final extraction, I can honestly say the most I felt was a slight discomfort. Afterwards the aftercare was carefully explained in detail and I was provided with written instructions. I am genuinely impressed by the friendly and professional service provided at short notice and have no hesitation in recommending the practice.
After a long absence from the dentist’s office, I finally faced the music and made an appointment with Stright Road Dental practice. They could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and professional. Zero shame from them while being uplifting and kind. Thank you for easing my anxiousness and fear. Definitely recommend
