Tooth-colored fillings are made from a mixture of fine glass and plastic particles. They are customized to match your enamel to blend in when you smile. They generally last 8 to 12 years before needing to be replaced.
Yes. Unlike amalgam, which is unsafe for pregnant women and individuals allergic to metal, white fillings are safe for nearly everyone.
Composite White fillings will harden instantly under the blue light used by your dentist. This hardening will allow you to eat and drink immediately after the procedure. In order to avoid biting your cheek, tongue, or lips, you will probably want to wait until the local anesthetic wears off before trying to eat.
Although you can’t prevent staining 100% of the time, composite fillings should remain “tooth coloured” for a long time, if not for the life of the filling itself. As most fillings are within the mouth on the top of the side of a tooth, you shouldn’t notice any particular staining and it should remain natural-looking.
Unlike metal, composite does not conduct cold or heat. This means that you will not need to worry about sensitivity related to consuming hot or cold foods or drinks.
This is hands down the best dental experience of my life, the technology is first rate but what made it the best was the staff they are excellent - communication and making me feel relaxed and cared for thank-you.
My daughter had a tooth removed both the dentist and his nurse were amazing with her made her feel comfortable and told her everything they were doing highly recommend them x
I had my two teeths fixed two days ago. Nothing hurt and I am very satisfied with dentist Jessica Callow. Very kind, always smiling and does a great job. Thanks Jess.
Always been afraid of going to the dentist, since being a patient of Santosh and his team all my fears have gone. Santosh is so gentle ,explains everything and constantly reassures you.The hygienist is also excellent, wouldn't say I look forward to visiting but certainly much more relaxed. Highly recommend 👌
A painless extraction. I had suddenly lost a large filling in a tooth that had been troublesome for sometime. I phoned at 9:30 and spoke to a very efficient receptionist who offered me a 12:30 appointment as a new NHS patient. On arrival at the practice I was met by a very friendly dental nurse and ushered through to the treatment room where the dentist began the examination, taking great care to reassuringly explain how he intended to proceed. All options were explained to me and it was obvious the tooth needed to come out. From the application of anaesthetic to the final extraction, I can honestly say the most I felt was a slight discomfort. Afterwards the aftercare was carefully explained in detail and I was provided with written instructions. I am genuinely impressed by the friendly and professional service provided at short notice and have no hesitation in recommending the practice.
After a long absence from the dentist’s office, I finally faced the music and made an appointment with Stright Road Dental practice. They could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and professional. Zero shame from them while being uplifting and kind. Thank you for easing my anxiousness and fear. Definitely recommend
